Grant Borrie - Technical Director

Grant Borrie has 14 years ‘test’ experience in the telecommunications, derivatives, finance, retail logistics and e-commerce sectors both in NZ and the UK. Grant’s roles have included managing, developing and executing test projects across a diverse range of business environments, I.T technologies, system architectures and hardware.

During this time Grant developed a pragmatic approach to testing. He believes that testers must assess each business environment and specific project on a case by case basis to determine which budget expedient test methodology to adopt.

Grant has been responsible for recruiting staff for test teams; test planning; publishing test strategy, test plan and test script documentation; managing and executing all phases of the test life cycle. In doing so, Grant has utilised a variety of functional and non-functional test techniques and has administered off-the-shelf test automation tools.

Greg du Bern - Senior Consultant and Practise Manager

Greg is a highly experienced Test Consultant with an outstanding track record of achievement, most recently in senior IT leadership posts for the Westpac Group both in NZ and Australia.

Greg brings extensive, pragmatic and commercial experience in software testing, insight and experience to bear with New Zealand based organisations. Specifically, Greg has demonstrated a real skill in developing high performance testing teams - a task he performed both for Westpac NZ and Westpac Australia. This spans the establishment of testing frameworks, appropriate program and governance standards and practical test processes. Whilst at Westpac, Greg was also responsible for:

Prior to his career with Westpac, Greg managed the testing effort at the Bank of New Zealand and held various project management posts for companies including EDS (client: Telecom NZ) and BNZ. Greg holds the ISTQB Foundation Certifiicate in addition to being ITIL V3 Foundation Certified.

Neil Andrew - ICT Strategy Consultant

Neil is an experienced General Manager and Chartered Accountant with hands on experience in most areas of management and with a broad industry exposure. He has a varied career with involvement in over 6 business startups, a number of senior corporate roles and has been involved as both vendor and customer within the technology industry. Neil's strong corporate background includes Head of Technology at TVNZ and Group Director People and Processes (IT and Business Improvement) with Heinz Wattie. In 2008, Neil completed an assignment with Vector Limited as Service Delivery Manager and as such, is well aware of the organization..

Neil's business career covers a variety of sectors including resourcing for the I.T sector, finance and accounting.

Neil believes the key to successful software testing partnership is “really understanding your client and their requirements and providing tailored solutions that fit with existing service delivery frameworks and models”.
